All of our classes are taught at the Gumnut Gear studio in Gunnedah, except Sewing at the Shop, which is held at Gunnedah Fashion Fabrics. I hope your Christmas festivities were pleasant and that 2012 is getting off to a great start for everyone. Here at Gumnut Gear we have lots of ideas and plans tumbling about. We are looking forward to a big, exciting year!

Over the break Therese made an attempt to clean out some of the cupboards in the studio. She found a treasure trove of forgotten fabric, partly finished projects, and plenty of ideas for new projects. So there should be a lot of new patterns this year, especially bags and quilts.

Do you like to do Block of the Month quilts? Therese is working on our first one at the moment. The pattern for the first month is being tweaked into perfection, and hopefully it will be available soon.

We sometimes get asked if we have patterns for certain items, such as pot holders. So we thought this year we might develop some little projects too. We do a lot of bags and quilts, and they are definitely our most popular products, but sometimes it’s nice to do something different too Is there a little something you’d like to see in our range?

So we are busy, busy, busy! But no matter how busy we are, we still love to hear about and see photos of your projects and patchwork journeys. Please email us (therese@gumnutgear.com.au) or post on our facebook page or here, if you’d like to share something with us. There’s nothing more satisfying for us to know that you enjoyed making one of our patterns! And we love seeing your projects too. As we mostly work with country colours or black and white, it’s amazing when we see a project made up in something completely different, to suit another’s taste, it can just look so different (though we still want to see country coloured and black/white items too!)

I know I’m an erratic blogger and facebooker, sorry about that, I’m still getting the hang of it Despite this, I hope you will join us in another year of patchwork fun! I think I might even be able to talk Therese into some “guest” blogging too.
